from Vision to finished Work

Every piece begins the same way — with an idea.

Sometimes it’s clear. Sometimes it’s just a feeling. My role is to shape that idea into something balanced, intentional, and built to last.

1 conversation + understanding

We begin with a real conversation.

We talk about the space, the scale, how the piece will be used, and what you want it to feel like. Proportion matters. Balance matters. How it lives in the room matters.

This isn’t about copying something from a catalog. It’s about creating something that belongs where it’s going.

2 sketching + design development

Before wood is ever cut, the design is developed carefully.

I sketch by hand. I study the lines. I refine proportions. In many cases, I create small-scale models to explore form and detail. This step allows the piece to evolve — to become more intentional, more resolved.

The design must feel right before it moves forward.

3 material selection

Wood is not just material — it has character.

I select hardwoods for their strength, grain, and longevity. Each board is chosen with the final form in mind. The material should enhance the design, not compete with it.

4 craftsmanship + joinery

I build using proven woodworking methods and proper joinery — techniques that many mass-production shops have abandoned.

There are no shortcuts in my shop.

Every joint, every edge, every detail is executed with care. Structure matters just as much as surface. A piece should be as solid inside as it is beautiful outside.

5 finishing + delivery

Once the build is complete, the piece is finished to highlight the natural character of the wood.

It is then delivered ready to be appreciated.

Art should INSPIRE you.

Furniture should SERVE you.

The best work should do both

When artistry and structure come together, the result is more than furniture.

It’s something made specifically for you.

Let’s begin shaping your piece.
